About the Explorer II
Introduced in 1971 for cave explorers and polar expeditions, the Explorer II pairs a fixed 24-hour engraved bezel with an independent GMT hand, letting the wearer distinguish day from night where the sun never rises or sets. The 226570 generation, launched in 2021, brought the case to 42mm with calibre 3285 and a longer power reserve while keeping the unmistakable orange GMT hand. It remains one of the most purposeful watches in the professional line.
